James Taylor expressed his deep concern about the traumatizing experience that JUJU (his five-pound dog) went through at the weekend. Taylor claims that a groomer taped Jujur’s mouth shut when it was bitten. This resulted in the dog looking bloody and being distressed.
Taylor recounted, "My dog was clearly in distress. What I initially believed was a mask turned out be tape. Jujur was clearly injured and his paws were red. His toenails, cut too closely to the paws likely caused him to bite.
Puppy Lux - a mobile salon for pets - employed the groomer to perform these actions.
James took Juju immediately to the vet for immediate medical attention. In joining other individuals who have also made similar claims, he has accused Puppy lux of animal abuse. San Mateo has launched an investigation to determine if the company is guilty of animal cruelty.
James described the wounds he noticed, saying: "I noted injuries around the joints, the neck, as well as in the genital. The cuts were so severe that they caused bleeding."
Jack Smithr posted on Yelp a review about how Puppy Lux returned his animals to him in a bad condition or with injuries. Another customer captured a Snapchat video showing a dog in apparent pain, claiming that a groomer had forcefully inserted a napkin into the dog's ear.
PuppyLux wants customers to also be aware of what groomer told them, as a person they had trusted with their pets. James shared: "Jonny told that I should tape my mouth shut as it was an acceptable and normal method. Jonny claimed this is better than a muzzle because he thinks a dog can get animal abuse cartoon hurt by using one. He mentioned that he used the same method for his own dogs.
Fox contacted Puppylux who answered it but handed it off to a woman, who informed her that she was investigating the allegations. But when Puppy was brought up, she said it was a different entity and ended the call abruptly.
